For this build we used a complete 545i 6spd donor that was fully loaded. In addition to the complete drivetrain including the N62 V8 engine, ZF GS6 manual transmission, driveshaft, and V8 specific rear differential, it also came equipped with Active Roll Stabilization, variable-ratio Active Steering, Logic 7 15-speaker audio system, Byteflight fiber optic airbag deployment and Navigation System-Professional. All of these systems were transferred with full functionality and integrated with the special features that came installed on our wagon chassis such as Electronic Height Control rear air suspension, hydraulic power rear hatch, and Panoramic sunroof. We capped it all off with a custom two-tone black and tan interior created entirely from stock components and added an M-sport front bumper. The result is a fantastic vehicle that’s amazing to drive.

The E46 3 series (‘99-’06) was a leap forward for the BMW 3 Series in build quality, refinement, and performance. It was an extremely popular model for the brand and continues to have a devoted following. The styling is as balanced as the inherent quality of the driving dynamics, and while these vehicles offer a lot of modern amenities and features, they aren’t nearly as electronically complex as later models, making this a great generation of BMW to use for a deeply involved custom build.

When all was said and done we had a fully loaded 330 XiT e46 wagon that was exactly as it would have been built at a BMW factory. Another great all-around daily driver with significantly increased performance in all areas.
